On Saturday evening (August 7, 2021), Neeraj Chopra became the first Indian to win a gold medal at the Tokyo Olympics. He won a gold in the men's javelin throw after edging out world number one Johannes Vetter. This gold medal is also India's first medal in athletics in the history of the Olympics.

In so doing, Neeraj Chopra has set a note for every Indian that Olympic Gold is for them as well. He set an example for every Indian and a precedent for generations to follow. Athletics is a section where we have always struggled to achieve Gold. Now the day has set for Generations to rethink and set Goals for nailing more and more Gold for our Nation.
